Privacy Policy
Last Updated: August 26, 2026
Lite PDF ("we", "our", or "the App") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App processes, how it is used, and the choices available to you.
1. Information We Process
Lite PDF does not require account registration and does not ask you to provide your name, email address, phone number, or other account information.
However, the App uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the App is used and to improve its functionality, stability, and user experience.
Firebase Analytics may automatically process information such as:
- An app-instance identifier generated by Firebase;
- App lifecycle information, such as app launches, sessions, and screen views;
- Device and app information, such as the App version, device type, operating system version, language, and general technical information;
- Coarse geographic information derived by Firebase from a masked IP address;
- Interactions with App features, such as opening, saving, removing, searching, organizing, or sharing PDF files;
- Reading-session events and approximate reading duration;
- Settings and feature selections, such as theme, sorting, or screen-on preferences.
The App also generates a random identifier and provides it to Firebase Analytics as an analytics user ID. This identifier is not based on your name, email address, advertising ID, or account information and is not intended to identify you personally.
The current version of Lite PDF does not access or collect the Android Advertising ID and does not use analytics data for personalized advertising.
2. PDF Files and Document Content
Lite PDF accesses PDF files only when you select or open them, including when a file is sent to the App by another application.
PDF content is processed locally on your device. Lite PDF does not upload the contents of your PDF documents to our servers or to Firebase Analytics.
The App does not include PDF file names, file contents, document text, or document URIs in Firebase Analytics events.
For files received through temporary permissions, the App may create a local copy in its private application storage so that the document can remain available for later viewing. These private copies are not accessible to other applications unless you explicitly choose to share them.
3. Local Data Storage
Lite PDF may store the following information locally on your device:
- Recently opened file records;
- Saved or bookmarked file records;
- File names, file sizes, and last-opened timestamps;
- App settings and preferences;
- Private copies of documents for which permanent access could not be retained;
- Temporary copies created for sharing;
- A randomly generated analytics identifier.
This information is used to provide the App's functionality and improve usability.
You can clear recent-file history and temporary sharing cache through the App. Uninstalling the App will normally remove data stored in its private application storage, subject to Android backup, restore, or device-transfer behavior controlled by your device or Google account.
4. File Access and Permissions
Lite PDF uses the Android system file picker and URI permission system to access files selected by you.
The current version does not request broad access to all files stored on your device. The App may retain read access to a selected file when Android and the file provider support persistent URI permissions.
If persistent access is not available, the App may create a private local copy of the selected PDF as described above.
5. Sharing Files
When you choose to share a PDF, Lite PDF creates a temporary copy in the App's cache and opens the Android system sharing interface.
The file is transferred only to the application or service that you select. Once a file is shared with another application or service, its handling is governed by that third party's privacy policy and practices.
Lite PDF is not responsible for how a third-party application handles a file after you choose to share it.
6. Third-Party Services
Lite PDF uses Google Firebase Analytics, a service provided by Google LLC, to collect and process analytics information.
Google may process analytics information as our service provider in accordance with its applicable terms and privacy documentation. Data transmitted to Firebase Analytics is encrypted in transit.
For more information, please review:
The current version of Lite PDF does not include an advertising SDK and does not display advertising.
7. How We Use Information
Analytics information is used only for purposes such as:
- Understanding how App features are used;
- Measuring App sessions and feature interactions;
- Identifying usability problems;
- Improving performance, reliability, and functionality;
- Planning future improvements.
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not use the contents of your PDF documents for analytics, advertising, profiling, or marketing.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
Local information remains on your device until it is removed through the App, removed by Android, or deleted when the App is uninstalled, subject to Android backup and restore behavior.
Analytics information is retained according to our Firebase and Google Analytics retention settings.
If you would like to request deletion of analytics information associated with the App's randomly generated identifier, or if you have a privacy-related request, contact us at:
Because the App does not require an account and the analytics identifier is not displayed to users, we may need additional information or technical cooperation to determine whether a particular analytics record can be located and deleted.
9. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed by the App.
PDF documents and local records are stored within Android-controlled storage. Analytics information is transmitted using encrypted network connections. However, no storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
10. Children's Privacy
Lite PDF is a general-purpose PDF utility that may be used by users of different age groups, including children where permitted by a parent, guardian, or applicable law.
The App does not require users to create an account and does not knowingly request names, email addresses, phone numbers, contact details, or the contents of PDF documents from children.
The App uses Firebase Analytics, which may process the limited technical and usage information described in this Privacy Policy, including an app-instance identifier, App interactions, device and App information, and coarse location derived from a masked IP address.
The current version does not collect the Android Advertising ID, does not display personalized advertising, and does not use PDF contents for analytics, advertising, profiling, or marketing.
Parents or legal guardians who believe that information relating to a child has been processed through the App may contact us to request review or deletion:
11. International Processing
Information processed by Firebase Analytics may be handled in countries or regions other than the one in which you live. Google applies its own data-transfer and security measures to information processed through Firebase and Google Analytics.
12. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning personal information, including rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection to certain processing.

13. Future Advertising
The current version of Lite PDF does not display advertising and does not collect the Android Advertising ID.
If advertising or an advertising SDK is added in a future version, we will update this Privacy Policy and the relevant App Store disclosures before or when that version is released, as required.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App, third-party services, legal requirements, or data-handling practices.
Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Where required, additional notice or consent will be provided.
